The two-day integration meet on ‘AKAM(Azadi Ka Amrut Mahotsav’ concluded at Jawahar Navodaya Vidayala, Pekhubela Una , here on Thursday.

 Various students from 20 JNVs from J&K, Himachal Pradesh, Punjab and Chandigarh showcased their talent in various cultural items.

On the hosting site, students participation was shown in youth choir, creative writing, art exhibition, seminar and performing arts. 

Dr. Amit Sharma IAS ADC UNA, was the chief guest on the occasion. , Capt. Teena Dhir Deputy Commissioner, Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti (NVS), Regional Office, Chandigarh, said the aim was to bring out the latent talent in children.

NVS Regional Integration meet Mission

The Purpose of providing this wide platform to the students of  navodaya, is to make them realise that,  they are the inhabitants of a beautiful  country having a truly unique culture and they have a responsibility upon their fragile shoulders to carry it forward in future as well. The Grand occasions like these help them to become the ambassadors of the Indian culture and values to the different parts of the world and create an indelible imprint of the entity that India proudly owns .

Through this occasion the Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti intends to inculcate the values of Patriotism and unity in diversity among the students which helps to make  them  responsible citizens of the nation.

Host of the Event

The staff and students of JNV Una feels extremely proud and honoured To be bestowed with the responsibility of hosting the Regional Integration Meet(RIM) of the Art inEducation programme on the 3rd and 4th of February 2022,to celebrate 75 years of Indian Independence , aptly titled as ‘AzadikaAmritMahotsav’, which is also the theme of the month long workshops held in 20 different JNVs of the Chandigarh region.
